Mean theft

A particularly mean theft took place at Craigavon Area Hospital in 1991.

A disabled visitor came outside to find that her car had been stolen.

The car, which carried a disabled sticker, had been parked in a bay for disabled drivers.

It was taken during visiting hours, leaving the owner without transport home.

Local police recovered the vehicle the next day but it had been severely vandalised, leaving a lady without transport and mobility for a prolonged period.
