St Anthony’s Centre in Craigavon is hosting a final night of the Shooting Stars talent contest at St Anthony’s Centre on Friday, June 6 at 8pm.
Auditions and registration to take part take place this Sunday (June 1) at St Anthony’s.
Craigavon Arts in Motion committee are promoting the event and the winner will perform live the next day to the public at Lurgan Show on Saturday, June 7.
This event is run by a Dublin based events company called Shooting Stars. The competition is open to all ages for the first time. All acts are welcome from singers, dancers, bands, drama schools, dance troops, comedians, magicians etc.
The prize fund of £1,000 is split four ways with £500 to the winner, £250 for second place, £150 for third and £100 goes to a wild card act - star of the future award which the judges pick aside from the top three.
Judges are from the entertainment business and include London West End star and recently played ‘Danny Zuco’ in the Cork Opera House - Carl Stallwood, Dublin based singer/ talent scout agent, Ben Quinn and Craigavon’s local actor and hip hop dance teacher, Orlaith Larkham.
