THE dream that the Bridge Community Church had for Bambadzi since September 2010 has come true
At the beginning of February, a drilling company went out to Bambadzi to drill the borehole to bring fresh water to the village.
The money for this project, which cost $8,600, came mainly from local fund raising and gifts from individuals. The BCC would like to thank Actionoverseas, Glynneath Apostolic Church and the young people at Waterfront Community Church, Swansea, for their financial support of the project. Also the BCC would like to thank Pastor Amos Sibanda, Deputy Leader Apostolic Church, Zimbabwe, for his coordination of the project.
See www.thebridgecommunitychurch.org.uk and youtube “bambadzi water” for more pictures from Bambadzi.
What next? Pastor Marcus and Pat Thomas will be going to Zimbabwe in August. In the eantime, various contacts will now be followed up with missionary agencies who could help in the developing of the land that surrounds the well into a communal market garden area. The fencing for the area – 60 yards by 45 yards – is already in Bambadzi. Pastor Phineas will now be erecting the fence, using poles supplied by people from our local church.
All they can say at BCC: “Thank you to all who have supported this project and also, Praise God for giving us the means to make it all happen.”
