An election information and policy debate is to be held in Lurgan tonight (Friday).
The event is being organised by the Action for Community Transformation (ACT) Initiative, in partnership with the Jethro Centre in Lurgan.
The organisers said that all parties fielding candidates in next month’s Assembly election were invited to take part. At the time of writing, Sinn Fein, Alliance, the Ulster Unionist Party, UKIP, TUV and PUP had confirmed their attendance.
The event is to be independently chaired by Sean O’Boyle.
The format for the evening will be a five-minute party/candidate brief, which should take about an hour in total, followed by a question and answer session, scheduled to last another hour.
Journalists have been invited and the event may also be recorded.
Candidates subscribing to the event were asked to register no more than five persons for attendance.
The venue will seat approximately 60 people.
Registration should be made via the Jethro Centre.
