Actor Sean honoured by peers

Lurgan has always had a wealth of local talent and the many drama schools and clubs have united for a special evening of dance and drama to honour one of their own.

Sean Roberts has been a star of local theatre for many years and now his peers have come together for a special send off.

Indeed no less than five local drama groups have united for a special show to honour Sean and to raise funds for his next new adventure.

Though just 24 the talented singer and actor has certainly left an indelible mark on the local scene. With a huge passion for drama, the Craigavon man also works closely with many schools and societies to share his talents and engage with the local community.

So on Friday 12th August at 7.30pm five of the most successful local drama/dance schools will unite with a selection of Craigavon’s best known vocalists.

The evening is bringing together the best local talent, showcasing diversity, offering a night packed with entertainment and ultimately raising funds to help Sean on his “Journey” off to University to pursue is professional career in Preforming Arts.

The schools/teachers involved are Pamela Cassells School of Performance, Louise Fahey – Little Starz Academy of Performing Arts, Claire McMahon – Miss Mac Dance Studio, Linda May – Kaboom Lmays dance company and MADS – Moyraverty Arts & Drama Society

The evening will incorporate songs from the greatest musicals, with a mixture of solo’s, duets and group numbers,

Hosted my Daniel May who will also perform alongside Sean, Susan McPeake, Louise Fahey, Tammy Sharpe, Kyle Emerson, Joanne Cochrane, Jade Gribbon and Noami Burns. There will also be bar facilities and a raffle.

Suitable for all ages and everyone is invited to come along and show your support.

The event is being held on Friday (12th August) at Craigavon Civic Centre. The show starts at 7.30 (doors open at 7pm) Tickets cost only £7.
