Ambulances, fire service and police at scene of NI crash

The PSNI, the NI Fire and Rescue Service and the NI Ambulance Service are attending a serious crash in Portadown this afternoon.

A number of vehicles are involved in the crash on the Mahon Road at the junction with the Markethill Road.

Diversions are in place.

DUP Cllr Lavelle McIlwrath said: “There is a very bad accident on the Mahon Road close to the junction with the Markethill Road and not far from Haldane and Fishers.

“It seems that a number of vehicles are involved.

“One is in the field.

“I am praying everyone’s OK.

“Police, Fire Service and a number of ambulances at scene.”

Cllr McIlwrath said, after speaking to the PSNI: “A number of vehicles were badly damaged but so far it seems no serious injuries.

“The road will be closed for a time while one vehicle is recovered.”
