The Northern Ireland travel sector have joined forces with Habitat NI to help raise the walls and roofs on a many homes as they can for families living in poverty housing around the world. In September, a team of 15 travel agents from across the province will swap their business suits for builder’s boots to spend one week building a home for a family in Beius, Romania.
Sharon Fleming, director of Thompson Travel who is part of the team said, “We are really excited to be partnering with Habitat this year and look forward to working alongside families and their community to help build a home in just five days. It will be a lot of hard work but I can’t wait to roll my sleeves up and get stuck in.”
