A man has been arrested after £19k worth of drugs were discovered in Lurgan.
The 23-year-old was arrested by detectives from Reactive and Organised Crime Branch this morning (Thursday).
Ecstasy with an estimated street value of £19k and a small quantity of suspected cannabis were recovered during the search of a property in the Victoria Street area of the town.
The suspect has been arrested on suspicion of attempting to import a controlled drug, possession of a class B controlled drug and possessing a class B controlled drug with intent to supply.
He remains in custody assisting police with their enquiries.
A PSNI spokesperson said: “This operation has removed a sizeable amount of illegal drugs and prevented potential harm to many people. Police are determined to reduce the availability of illegal drugs and would ask anyone who may have any information about illegal drugs in their area to support us in our aim to get drugs off the streets and contact us on the non-emergency number 101.
