A motorist who drove through a red light was banned from driving for six months at Craigavon Magistrates Court.
Conrad Douglas Black (53), Victor Place, Dollingstown, was also fined £100 for the offence which happened on October 1.
As well he was fined £30, with a £15 offender’s levy, for a defective rear offside brake light and £75 for using a mobile phone while driving.
The Wednesday, December 10, court heard that at 5.50pm the defendant was seen to drive through a red light from Union Street into the Tandragee Road.
His rear side brake light was not illuminated.
District Judge, Mrs Bernie Kelly, said if the defendant did not have his licence in court she could not impose points and he would have to be disqualified.
Later in the court the defendant’s solicitor asked for bail to appeal against the sentences. Bail was set at £250 but Judge Kelly refused permission for Black to drive pending appeal.
