Twice in the same month a 27-year-old man was caught driving without insurance which led to him getting banned last Friday at Craigavon Magistrates Court.
Artur Nowakoski, whose address was given to the court as Lakelands, Craigavon, admitted driving without insurance on December 20 last year.
Through his solicitor he also admitted driving without insurance on December 11 last year, having two defective tyres and not having a vehicle test certificate.
For each of the insurance offences he was fined £125 and banned from driving for nine months.
He was fined £25 on each of the tyre offences, fined £75 for not having a vehicle test certificate and ordered to pay two £15 offender’s levies.
The court heard that on December 20 he was driving a Vauxhall car at Annesborough Road in Lurgan. He was not insured.
On December 11 he was driving a Mazda car at Mandeville Road in Portadown. Checks revealed there was no insurance.
The front offside and nearside tyres were defective and there was no vehicle test certificate.
Mr Conor Downey, representing Nowakoski, said his client accepted he was going to be disqualified.
