Caused accident in rain

In poor driving conditions a 36-year-old man caused an accident at Millennium Way in Lurgan, Craigavon Magistrates Court heard last Wednesday.

Robert Kolodziejczyk, Toberhewny Hall, Lurgan, was fined £150 and given three points for driving without due care and attention on November 13 last year.

The court heard that a road traffic collision took place at 3.10pm at the entrance to Tescos on Millennium Way.

The weather was poor and it was raining heavily when the defendant drove out of the Tesco entrance and collided with the injured party’s vehicle.

Kolodziejczyk attended at the police station and made a full admission. Both drivers were shaken by the accident but they were not injured. Both cars were written off.

Mr Gabriel Ingram, representing the defendant, said his client accepted responsibility when he spoke to police.

He added that the weather played a part in the accident because the conditions were very poor.
