AFTER celebrating St Patrick’s Day a Lurgan man was arrested for disorderly behaviour when he created a disturbance in the early hours if the morning on March 18.
Thirty year old Gerard Lavery, of Beech Court, Lurgan, was fined £150 for the offence when he appeared last Friday at Craigavon Magistrates Court.
The court heard that at 2.30am police were called to a disturbance at Beech Court.
They saw the defendant who was shouting loudly. He was asked to calm down but continued to shout and was arrested.
Mr Conor Downey, representing the defendant, said Lavery had been out with friends celebrating St Patrick’s Day. He was very drunk.
Imposing the fine District Judge, Mr Alan White, said he hoped this incident was a one-off and that Lavery was not going back to his behaviour of a few years ago.
