Four masked men attack another man during Lurgan burglary

Four masked men attacked a man in his Lurgan home during a burglary last night (Sunday).

Detectives probing the aggravated burglary in Lurgan Tarry said the man was taken to hospital for treatment for non life-threatening injuries.

Detective Inspector Will Tate said: “At approximately 10.00pm four unknown masked men entered a house in the Lurgan Tarry area. A male occupant in the house was assaulted by these males .

“He was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries, which are not believed to be life threatening,” he said.

It is understood two women were in the house at the time of the attack.

“I would ask anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the area or who has information to contact Detectives in Lurgan on the non emergency number 101. Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111,” said the Detective Inspector.
