Terrorism squad carry out searches in Lurgan, Irvinestown and Castlederg

Police say searches are being carried out in various parts of NI as part of an investigation in the Continuity IRA.

Parts of North Lurgan, Irvinestown and Castlederg are being searched.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “Detectives from the Terrorism Investigation Unit are conducting searches in North Lurgan, Irvinestown and Castlederg this morning as part of an ongoing operation into the activities of the Continuity IRA.”


Police are appealing for eye witnesses.
