Did not have car insurance

A three month driving ban was imposed on a 20-year-old man last Friday at Craigavon Magistrates Court for not having insurance on December 20 last year.

Vladimiras Abeldimonas, whose address was given as Glenavon Crescent, Lurgan, was also fined £350 for driving without insurance.

As well he was fined £90 for not having a licence.

The defendant was not legally represented and pleaded guilty himself in court.

The court heard that around midnight a car was seen by police driving in Millennium Way in Lurgan and stopping in a car park.

Two men got out and police spoke to the defendant who was driving. He admitted he did not have a licence or insurance. The vehicle was seized.
