Police caught a drink driver in the Portadown area in the early hours of this morning (Saturday), despite his efforts to escape detection.
The local crew, who were out on patrol, spotted the vehicle driving “in stealth mode”, with no lights on.
Police said the driver has been charged to appear in court having provided a breath sample two-and-a-half times the legal limit.
They said, “If you see someone you believe is drink driving, call us immediately.
“If you drink drive you may be fortunate and not kill someone, but if we catch you, you’ll lose your license. If you need that for work, you may lose your job too. It’s not worth it.”
