A 31-year-old man was banned from driving for two years last Friday at Craigavon Magistrates Court.
Rafal Gabala, whose address was given to the court as King’s Park Mews, Lurgan, was also fined £150 for driving with excess alcohol on March 14 this year and ordered to pay a £15 offender’s levy.
As well he was fined £100 and banned for six months for driving without due care and attention while £120 fines and one year bans were imposed for failing to stop and failing to report an accident.
The court heard that the defendant was involved in an accident on the Old Portadown Road in Lurgan. A breath test gave a reading of 117.
Mr Conor Downey, representing the defendant, said his client accepted he had taken alcohol prior to the accident but afterwards, when he had left the scene, he took more alcohol.
He added that Gabala accepted his period of disqualification would be lengthened because of the high reading.
District Judge, Mr Mervyn Bates, said it was a very high reading.
