A Magheralin man who drove off with one of his rear doors open was fined £75 last Wednesday at Craigavon Magistrates Court for driving without due care and attention.
Eamon Ferris (41), Malcolmson Park, Magheralin, was also given three penalty points.
For exceeding the 30mph limit on the same day he was fined £50.
The court heard that at 9.30pm on July 30 in Lurgan town centre police were undertaken by a car. They estimated it was travelling at around 50mph.
The car stopped and a rear seat passenger got out. The car drove off with a rear door open and a rear seat passenger had to close it.
Ferris did not appear in court but pleaded guilty by way of a letter.
