TAGHNEVAN Community Centre has been highly praised after a glowing report from a top government inspectorate.
Sinn Fein Councillor Liam Mackle congratulated youth workers and management at the centre after the report by the Education and Training Inspectorate.
The purpose-built centre, which opened in 1996, employs a full-time centre manager and youth worker in charge along with ten part-time paid staff and seven volunteers.
Councillor Mackle said: “The report found that the centre was outstanding for the quality of the care guidance and support for young people and very good in all other categories.”
He went on praise the centre for supplying facilities for a range of local educational, youth and community organisations.
