The Castle Classic Car Club will be marking a poignant anniversary with their annual display on Saturday, June 13.
The 16th Battalion Royal Irish Rifles was based in Brownlow House in the Spring of 1915.
Their training included laying railway lines which was done at Dromore.
They departed in June 1915 almost 100 years to the day of the date of the ever popular vintage rally.
Their first task was to lay a railway in Picardy to transport troops and supplies.
The Castle Classic Car Club invite you to come to Brownlow House, Windsor Avenue, Lurgan to their Annual Rally and Autojumble from 10.00am and view the stationary engines and when you hear the whistles blow give a thought for all those young men from all communities of Lurgan district who went away, many never to return.
