When police saw a drunken female sitting in the front garden of a house she warned them not to touch her before kicking an officer.
Michelle Culloo (31), Brownlow Terrace, Lurgan, appeared last Friday at Craigavon Magistrates Court.
At a previous hearing she had admitted assaulting a female and assaulting a police officer. She was put on probation for nine months with the condition she attends the alcohol and drug counselling programme. The case was adjourned from a previous court for a pre-sentence report.
A public prosecutor said that on August 1 last year at 9.20pm police went to an address in Lurgan and saw the defendant sitting in the front garden.
Culloo, who was heavily intoxicated, told police; “Don’t you f—king touch me.” She kicked an officer on the leg.
The other injured party said there had been a barbecue at the house and Culloo kicked her, causing her to fall to the ground.
A barrister representing the defendant said his client had no previous convictions and her regret and remorse had come across in the report.
