KILMORE Church Defenders LOL 237 hold their annual service on Sunday

Rev Geoff Wilson, rector of Shankill Parish Church, will be the minister in charge and preacher at the service in Kilmore Church Hall.

The service will include the dedication of new uniforms for Kilmore Flute Band and new style of marching and discipline for the first time since they were reformed early this year.

The earliest evidence of when they first paraded was in 1906, although it is believed they were on the road before that date.

The parade forms up at Kilmore Railway Bridge at 2.45pm and the service starts at 3.30pm.

All will be welcome, especially old members, friends and relatives.

It’s hoped the event will also be filmed as a momentous day in Kilmore’s history.
