The Courthouse Bar in Lurgan has issued last orders as it closes - but only for a few months.
The popular bar and restaurant has been a magnet for young people since it opened 19 years ago however it has closed this week for a major refurbishment.
Manager Thomas McConaghy said: “After 19 brilliant years, we will close the doors for the final time ahead of our refurburbishment. It’s the end of an era, no doubt; but the thousands of happy memories created live on. As sad as it may be to say goodbye, we are more than excited to embrace the fresh new look. The next time pints are pulled and Martini’s are shaken at Number 46, the old girl will have had a well-deserved facelift and will be ready to host many future memories in style.
“It is expected that the bar will be closed for a few months, though we hope to re-open our off licence sooner. Check in to our Facebook page and will be keep you posted on our progress. Tag us in any pics you have taken here over the years and we’ll give away some spot prizes. It’s going to be an awesome 2016.
“I would like to take this opportunity to extend my gratitude for the support you have given for almost two decades. Over the years I have met some real characters, had the pleasure of working alongside some great staff and had the privilege of serving many, truly, fantastic customers. I look forward to being of service when we reopen and to welcoming back our many wonderful customers and friends.”
