Moyraverty Arts and Drama Society big summer show for 2015 will be the classic musical ‘West Side Story’.
This production will be performed five times from Thursday 3rd to Sunday 6th September at Portadown Town Hall Theatre.
Show producer Kieran Corr said, “We are delighted to have received the copyrights for ‘West Side Story’, we performed this show seven years ago and once again we have been fortunate enough to have a very talented cast put together for this show.
“Many of them starred in Phantom of the Opera two years ago and Les Miserables School Edition last year and it’s great to give them the opportunity to perform in another top musical.
“As well as having a very strong cast we also have a very experienced and professional production team. John Corry from Lurgan will be directing the show, the musical director will be John Mitchell who will conduct a full orchestra for this production.
“We welcome back Caitriona Corr who has returned from England to be the vocal coach.

Mr Corr added, “The cast have a busy summer ahead of them making sure the show is up to the very high standard associated with the drama society”.
Tickets go on sale this weekend from all the usual outlets priced at £8 and a concession rate of £6.
As well as West Side Story the society will also be hosting a musical theatre Summer Scheme at its unit in Moyraverty from Monday 3rd to Friday 7th August from 10am to 4pm each day finishing with a showcase performance on Sunday 9th August.
The cost is £30 and you can just come along and sign up on the Monday morning. This is open to anyone aged 6 to 18 years old.
