The partner of a Lithuanian man has confirmed that his body has been found in Portadown.
Eimantas Gerdvilas, aged 31, has been living in the Killycomain area of Portadown but had not been seen since 11pm on Friday February 12.
This morning, Edita Matij confirmed that the body found in a stream in Portadown was that of her partner’s.
The young man’s was found in a stream in the Mourneview/Thomas Street area on Sunday morning.
A 17-year-old woman arrested as part of the investigation into the discovery of this man’s body in Mourneview Street is to be reported to the Public Prosecution Service (PPS) for withholding information.
She has been released by police.
A 35-year-old woman has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
Three men, two aged 28 and one aged 30, remain in custody assisting police with their enquiries, after police were given an extra 36 hours to question them.
Mr Gerdvilas’ partner Edita launched a widespread social media campaign to find him soon after he went missing last month.
Police and specialist teams including Lough Neagh Rescue, combed many area of Portadown searching for Mr Gerdvilas who has been living here for four years.
