A spokesman for the group said:"Around 30 people took part in an hour long protest organised by the local branch of the IPSC.

"Heavy showers of rain failed to deter local IPSC members and supporters from standing in a show of solidarity with Bilal Kayed who is now on his 67th day of hungerstrike.

"Several IPSC members from Armagh city travelled to join in the protest on the town's Garvaghy Road which was also attended by the chair of Craigavon Trades Council.

"The date of Saturday's protest in support of Bilal Kayed coincided with the 35th anniversary of the death on hungerstrike of Irish Republican prisoner, Michael Devine, who died on August 20th 1981 in the H-Blocks of Long Kesh."
