‘Words cannot describe our sadness’ say colleagues of NI dentist who died suddenly

Grief striken colleagues of an NI dentist, who died suddenly, pay tribute to ‘the most caring, genuine and dedicated practitioner’.

Paul Maguire, who ran the family practice in Portadown, died suddenly on Wednesday.

Tributes have flooded social media praising a dedicated dentist who put his patients first.

Mr Maguire took over running William Street Dental, which was established by his father Noel, in 1992.

In a Facebook post, William Street Dental said: “As a team we are coming to terms with the sudden loss of our friend, Paul.

“Words cannot describe the sadness we are experiencing right now and we just wish we had the chance to say goodbye and thank him for everything he has done for us.

“Paul was the most caring, genuine and dedicated practitioner who always put his patients first.

“We all looked up to him as a mentor, a dependable and wise man who always had the answer.

“We will miss him every day.

“Our thoughts are with his wife Louise and the rest of the Maguire family at this time.

“May he rest in peace.”

He has been described as a ‘truly skilled, talented, gentle man’ who put his patients at ease.
