Points for driving without a licence

A 49-year-old man was fined £250 last Thursday at Banbridge Magistrates Court for driving without having insurance on March 26 this year.

Patrick Lennon, Ballinaskeagh Road, Banbridge, also received six penalty points on his licence.

He was stopped while driving on the Lurgan Road, Banbridge, and it transpired he was not insured. He had no previous convictions.

A solicitor representing the defendant said he had been driving for 32 years.

He added that he immediately rectified the situation.
