Police call for vigilance over suspicious activity and objects


Police in Lurgan are asking the public to be vigilant of suspicious activity and objects and report anything untoward immediately.

Officers are investigating reports of suspicious activity in the North Lurgan area.

Craigavon Area Commander, Chief Inspector Paul Reid, said: “The safety of the public is our utmost priority at all times and we are asking anyone who notices anything suspicious or untoward in their local area to phone us straight away. If you come across an object which looks suspicious or out of place, do not approach or touch it but phone us immediately.

“We can be contacted on the 101 non-emergency number of 999 in an emergency.”
