Police make arrest following assault


Police in Lurgan have arrested a man following an assault last month.

Constable Kris King explained: “During the early hours of Sunday morning, November 23, a 26-year-old man was walking past licensed premises on Old Portadown Road when he stopped to speak to a friend.

“A male approached him and assaulted him sometime between midnight and 1am.

“A 26-year-old man was arrested for GBH with intent and threats to kill.”

The constable added: “He was later released on bail pending further enquiries.

“We would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the assault or has information in relation to it. We can be contacted at Lurgan Police Station on the 101 number, quoting ref: 508231114.”
