The railway line between Portadown and Lisburn has been closed following searches in Lurgan.
Police have been searching parts of north Lurgan close to the railway lines from this morning.
In a statement the PSNI said this afternoon: “The rail line between Lisburn and Portadown has been closed following searches in the Cornakinnegar Road area of Lurgan.
“This is a significant ongoing operation in relation to serious crime.”
Detective Inspector Adrian Brown said: “I would like to thank the community for their ongoing patience and co-operation while this operation continues.”
It follows extensive searches in north Lurgan last month.
Police then searched the nearby St Coleman’s Cemetery for several hours.
