Bleary Primary School teacher Joy Wilson could be forgiven for seeing double given the fact she has four sets of twins in her class.
Mrs Wilson, who has been at the school since 1990, teaches a combined P6/P7 class which includes Ben and Katie Hawthrone, Alex and Jessie Wheelan, Azeem and Malaiqa Alahi and Hasan and Husain Anwar.
“I’ve had two sets of them all the way through. The Alahis came to the school last year and the Anwars are in the P6 side of my class.”
Mrs Wilson added: “I’ve had no problems at all with any of them. They’re all very well settled.
“While they’re obviously very close you find that they do like to have their separate identities.
“Over the years I’ve had the odd set of twins but it’s fair to say having four sets in one class is something I’ve never experienced.”
She commented: “I’ve 25 pupils - 15 P7s and 10 P6s. I see all my pupils as individuals.
“You want to get the best out of every child and make sure they’re set up for their new school.
“It’s been a pleasure to have all the twins in my class and help them to progress at their own level.
“My job is to help them reach their potential as they go forward to their new school next September.”
