SF praises film on cultural diversity

SINN Fein has lambasted local political parties for failing to attend the screening of a film on cultural diversity.

Congratulating Craigavon Council’s Good Relations Unit of for hosting the ‘Tapestry of Colours’ film, Cllr Mark O’Dowd said it was ‘disappointing’ some parties failed to attend.

The film was part of Community Relations Week which aims to tackle the issue of diversity.

“Craigavon is becoming more culturally diverse and we can all learn from the influx of new thinking and new attitudes.

“All of these parties need to grasp the reality that Craigavon is changing and they need to gain an understanding of the diversity of cultures,” he said.
