DUP Councillor Carla Lockhart and MP David Simpson have welcome the new signage which was recently erected in Magheralin.
Speaking whilst out visiting the village Mrs Lockhart said the signage will be of great benefit to the local community.
She said: “This new public notice board will be of great benefit to the general public of Magheralin in advising of what is on and keeping people up to date on what is happening.
“The seating will also be of benefit particularly to the elderly population to sit and enjoy the village happenings. This is a small step to helping regenerate the Magheralin village. With the signage, the ducks of Magheralin having been reinstated and the play park upgrade Magherlin is no longer the forgotten village.”
Mr Simpson said: “I have been working with my councillors to ensure that Magheralin is put firmly on the council’s agenda and that the village retains its community atmosphere.
“A public notice board an seating will I believe go some way to advancing that community spirit and I believe this is the start of great things for Magheralin.”
