A FEMALE member of staff was tied up during a robbery at a coffee shop in Rushmere Shopping Centre on Monday morning.
Shortly before 7am an unknown male approached the premises and asked a member of staff could he use their phone as he had lost his. When the staff member opened the door the male forced his way in and grabbed the girl, tied her up and stole the keys of the safe. He emptied the contents into a rucksack before leaving the premises in the direction of Matalan.
The member of staff was able to free herself and raise the alarm. Although uninjured by her ordeal she was left extremely shaken.
The robber is described as tall, of thin build and was wearing light jeans, dark hat, and a jacket possibly with a north face logo on rear shoulder.
