The court heard that on August 9 this year at 5pm police received a report of an accident at Union Street in Lurgan.

A woman said that she had parked her car in the street about midday and when she returned there was damage to a wheel arch and wing mirror.

Through a witness police obtained the registration number of the other vehicle involved and spoke to the defendant.

He said that he knew he hit the wing mirror but he did not realise he had caused any damage.

A solicitor representing Strain said that he had paid for the damage himself.
