Struggled wih police after his arrest

When police attended an incident in Lurgan in the early hours of the morning a 45-year-old man struggled with them when he was arrested.

Darren Moore, Simon Community Hostel, Flush Park, Lisburn, admitted resisting a constable and criminal damage to a police vehicle on August 27 this year.

The court heard that at 2.17am police received a report of an incident at Trasna Way in Lurgan.

At 3.25am Moore was arrested and he began to struggle when placed in handcuffs.

In the rear of the police vehicle he kicked out at the rear door.

When interviewed Moore said he had been drinking the previous evening and resisted police because he was ‘having a hard time’.

He didn’t recall kicking the car.

The case was adjourned until January 27 next year so that a pre-sentence report could be obtained.
