A 24-year-old man was given a suspended prison sentence last Friday at Craigavon Magistrates Court for criminal damage to a fence.

Mark Daniel Ward, Drumellan Gardens, Craigavon, admitted the offence which happened on March 3 this year. He was sentenced to three months in prison suspended for 18 months.

A barrister representing the defendant said he had changed his lifestyle in a lot of respects. He had a new partner who was expecting a child soon and this was a big change for him. He added that Ward had moved on with his life and did have difficulties with alcohol.
