Tribute has been paid to the seventy plus volunteers in Northern ireland’s biggest food bank by Deputy Lord Mayor, Sinn Féin Councillor Cllr. Catherine Seeley,
“In the past year alone the volunteers have delivered food to over 3,500 homes.
“Credit must also be given to individuals, organisations and businesses who continue to donate food.”
She concluded, “Whilst we have to be thankful that these volunteers are carrying out this work, we must also reflect on the devastating impact of Tory Austerity policies that continue to threaten our society.”
