LOCAL band Trucker Diablo have signed a deal with Californian label Ripple Music.

Ripple Music are a relatively new independent label but are no strangers to the music industry and are steeped with some legendary connections.

The band said: “We have initially signed a two album deal with worldwide distribution including potential North American distribution through a major label.

“We have had quite a few email and phone conversations so we talked things through quite a bit before we decide to go ahead. The main reason we choose Ripple is the ‘family factor’, might sound strange but they are 100% into their bands and want us to be a part of their musical family and help us grow as artists over a period of years.

“This was critical for us as they want to promote us in the states and elsewhere to increase our profile. So from here we want to take things to the next level and do everyone proud and let you know “you are the fuel”, without you there is no Trucker and as long as you continue to support us, we will continue on to do what we love.”

Trucker Diablo released the album ‘The Devil Rhythm’ to critical acclaim in 2010 and new single ‘Drink Beer, Destroy’ has been bouncing all over the world on loads of radio stations.

The band just finished a BBC Radio One live session which airs in two weeks and they have been added to the Metal Hammer covermount CD for August.

This year Trucker were handpicked by the Download festival promoters to play the festival and have had airplay in over 30 countries around the world with most airplay coming from UK, Ireland, USA and Australia.

This side of Christmas the band will be playing two big local festivals and will be playing with Spit Like This on part of their UK tour in Ireland and will be showcasing for Hard Rock Hell in Glasgow in October with the full festival taking place in December across three days. Album number two is scheduled for 2012 with a 10-date US tour pencilled in for March 2012.
