When police approached a 20-year-old man in a car park in Banbridge he became aggressive with them and was eventually cautioned for disorderly behaviour.
Daniel Cairns, Ashleigh Crescent, Lurgan, was fined £100 for the offence last Thursday at Banbridge Magistrates Court.
The court heard that on October 19 last year at approximately 2am at the Tesco car park, Castlewellan Road, Banbridge, police spoke to the defendant.
Cairns became agitated and when he was asked to provide his details he took an aggressive tone towards police.
He was asked again to provide his details but refused. He called an officer ‘a f—king w—ker’ and was cautioned for disorderly behaviour.
A solicitor representing Cairns said he had alcohol on board.
He explained that the police were there in relation to another matter and when Cairns was asked for his details he thought there was no requirement because he was not involved in anything.
