The start of the long awaited single glazed window replacement scheme in Lime Grove, Lurgan, has been welcomed.
DUP MP David Simpson and Councillor Carla Lockhart said: “This has been a long, hard battle and weare delighted after two years of lobbying the work has commenced. “We have worked together to assist in this issue. Minister McCausland during his time in the Department of Social Development give a commitment that all single glazed windows would be replaced by the Housing Executive. We are delighted that this has come to fruition after a lot of lobbying and pushing for this area. It is a welcome move and now the fight begins for those dwellers who have double glazed wooden framed windows which are causing problems.”
