A Gilford woman agreed to be subject to a two year restraining order when she appeared last Thursday at Banbridge Magistrates Court.
Donna Barr (38), Castleview, Gilford, was charged with pursuing a course of harassment against a male between July 1 and October 13 last year.
She was also accused of sending by means of a public electronic communications network a number of messages which were grossly offensive or indecent, obscene or of a menacing character during the same period.
Barr had pleaded not guilty and the case had been listed as a contest at last Thursday’s court. But a public prosecutor said that after discussions no evidence would be offered and asked the judge to dismiss the charges.
She added that this was on the condition the defendant accepted a caution and agreed to a two year restraining order. District Judge, Mr Eamonn King, dismissed the charges and imposed the order.
