Ulster Unionist Councillor Marc Woods has highlighted a dumping problem on the main routes to the New Line Recycling Centre.
Mr Woods said, “On different occasions I have received calls from constituents to report the roadside dumping of bedroom furniture, children’s toys, white household goods, tyres and rubble.
“I have had to use a small trailer to gather up such unsightly mess from the hedges along our farm’s perimeter. I would like to commend the management and staff of this department for their quick response to any request I have put through to them regarding waste left by the roadside or that which has fallen from a vehicle or trailer. With a little more attention to the way we transport our rubbish to the recycling centres we can help keep our areas clean.”
