Three new flavours of McVitie's digestive biscuits have been announced

You'll soon have something a bit different to dunk in your tea with the arrival of three new digestive biscuit flavours announced by McVitie's this week.

Previously, McVitie's digestives came in just four versions - milk chocolate, dark chocolate, caramel or plain.

Now shoppers will be able to get their hands on cherry bakewell, strawberries and cream and marmalade on toast versions of the popular biscuit brand.

Where can I buy them?

The new biscuits have been spotted in Morrisons, though only the strawberries and cream biscuits are currently available online.

Morrisons does not have exclusive access to the biscuits, so shoppers will have to keep their eyes peeled for the new flavours landing in their local supermarket.

Are they any good?

The new flavours were spotted by Instagram user Iain Torely, with account NewFoodsUK then sharing the photo to their page with a message reading, "Wow! What a selection of biscuits! Can’t wait to try them all!"

Comments underneath the photograph suggested that shoppers were particularly excited about the new cherry bakewell flavour, though some indicated that they were suspicious of the new versions.

How much will they cost?

The biscuits look set to be a little pricier than normal digestives, with a 250g pack of strawberries and cream biscuits priced at £1.50 at Morrisons, matching the price of a slightly larger pack (433g) of chocolate digestive biscuits. Plain digestives cost even less, at £1 for a 250g packet.

The new biscuits contain around 75 calories, and consist of a digestive covered in milk chocolate, with the new flavourings added in.

The arrival of the new digestive flavours comes after the popular revival of chocolate orange flavour digestives by McVitie's last year.

The company have also released hazelnut Hobnobs in the past - though these were only available in sharing bags.

Digestives won't be the only new McVitie's product you might spot in the coming weeks - the company has also launched new pineapple flavour Jaffa Cakes.
