Stephen Chambers’ unbeaten 133 proved the highlight as Lurgan enjoyed success last weekend against Woodvale.
The 55-run league win arrived off the back of Chambers’ 133 not out off 126 deliveries - with 12 fours and two sixes part of the innings.
Chambers and club professional Niranjan Godbole formed a promising partnership, with the latter on 72 in his supporting role towards a third-wicket century partnership.
Chambers’ closing 33 runs arrived off 13 balls, with Stephen Johnston hitting 17 on his return from injury towards Lurgan’s 269 for five overall.
Zaheer Ali (two for 34) and Godbole (two for 33) proved the pick of the bowlers as Lurgan claimed the Woodvale scalp on 214 for seven from 50 overs.
Lurgan’s Ulster Bank Cup campaign finished with a seven-wicket victory for defending Premier League champions Instonians against the Section One side.
Lurgan put just 19 runs on the board across the first four wickets.
The only substanial Lurgan response arrived thanks to Godbole and Peter Maxwell on 49 for a fifth-wicket partnership.
Maxwell was caught for 16, with Haire out next on 13 and Godbole’s innings ending at 35.
Kris Lyness’ quickfire 20 lifted the Lurgan score into the three-figure range as all-out for 106 by 34 overs.
Lyness claimed an early Instonians wicket but the visitors held significant scoring power to move past the Lurgan challenge.
