Victoria bowed out of the NCU T20 Shield after losing to Saintfield.
Saintfield raced to 17 off just 2 overs due to some lose bowling before Ikbal Khan was brought into the attack for his first spell of senior bowling and finishing with figures of 2-18-1.
Thompson then picked up two wickets for 31 runs while the Saintfield innings ended of 155 for 7.
The Victoria innings got off to a steady start before Clarke’s dismissal brought Reiman to the crease and he along with Gray began to ride out the storm. As it reached the 10th over with the score on 47-1 Reiman and Gray knew they had to start taking some sensible risks to try and up the pace of scoring, this brought the fall of Gray for 16 off 26 balls. Vennard joined Reiman who was stuck for a while at the non-strikers end as wickets began to fall, Vennard was stumped for 0 and Khan soon followed.
Reiman was then dismissed by McCann for a very good 30 off 32 balls.
McClune soon followed without scoring. Parks got off to a great scoring rate despite the wickets tumbling around him. Thompson was soon to fall for 3 followed quickly by Garipogolia who was run out for 2. Walsh came and went in two balls.
This left parks and Khan to fight it out for the rest of the game leaving them both not out on 10 and 0 respectably. With Victoria losing by 67 runs.
Victoria have a massive chance to undo the recent set backs with three big league games in three weeks with BISC, Laurelvale and Cregagh all looming.
