Hill Street entertained high flying Derryhirk United on Saturday and it was another impressive performance from the league champions.

The Lurgan side smashed eight goals to improve their already impressive goal tally and remain top of the table ahead of Silverwood who have two games in hand.

Street got things going with a fine finish from the impressive Stevie McClellend.

Ian penny then scored the second but a lapse in concentration by Street let Derryhirk in to score and it remained 2-1 at the break.

It was all to play for in the second half and Street upped their game a few notches and the goals started to flow.

Penny and McClellend got another one each before Steven Lawson rifled home to make it 5-1.

A fine solo effort from James Wright made it six after he ghosted past four Derryhirk players.

Lawson fired home another with a fierce shot to make it 7-1.

The away side pulled another back before McClellend wrapped up his hat- trick in an afternoon when the defending champions really hit top gear.

This week Hill Street are at home to Cookstown Celtic.

Also in Division One there was a heavy defeat too for Lurgan Institute who crashed 7-0 to Red Star.

This Saturday Institute take on Armagh Rovers in the Alexandra Cup.

In Division 3 Lurgan United lost 2-0 at home to Caledon Rovers.

In round two of the Alan Wilson Cup there was no luck for Oxford Sunnyside as they lost 4-1 away to Richhill.

On Saturday Oxford Sunnyside are at home to Seagoe.
