Kevin Braniff has ended speculation about his future by agreeing a new contract at Glenavon.
The 33-year-old signed a new one year deal on Thursday night after training, a huge boost for the Lurgan Blues ahead of Saturday’s Irish Cup final against Linfield.
Manager Gary Hamilton is delighted at Kevin’s decision to remain at the club.
“Kevin has shown loyalty to the club,” said Gary. “He could have got more money elsewhere but is happy here and we are delighted he is with us for another season. His goals got us to the final and it a boost for us ahead of the match on Saturday.
“We didn’t know what our budget was going to be until we qualified for Europe so once that was sorted out it meant we could plan ahead. We invested in Kevin when he came back from Australia and he has shown this season he is still one of the best players in the league.”
