Lurgan Celtic start pre-season training this week and this will give manager Colin Malone a chance to put the players through their paces in the coming weeks.

Colin has been busy during the close season revamping the squad and the new signings include Michael Goff, Conor McCorry, Jonny McAreavey, Colin Rooney, Barry Seeley, Declan Conway, Jonny McCarron and Ryan Henderson returning to the club after four seasons in the Premiership with Donegal Celtic, Linfield and Ards.

The manager is also currently in the process of signing two other players to help boost the squad strength as Shane McCabe is off to University and also leaving are Jonny Montgomery and Conor Forker.

Assistant manager Dixie Robinson has taken up a post with Dungannon Swifts so senior player Conor Hagan has been appointed player coach.

The club have also organised a pre-season training camp for Saturday 26th July at Carlingford .

The new league fixtures were released last week and the Hoops face a tough first game away fixture at Seaview against Newington on August 9th.

The locals will need to hit the ground running as Banbridge Town are coming to Knockrammer the following Saturday.
